Put your waste into Mint and close the lid with the handle. The contents are then hermetically sealed. You then just have to pump by pressing on the upper part of Mint to expel the air. Your waste is protected from decomposition for a few days. Repeat the process after each opening. Then empty your waste at a collection point or in your garden compost. Mint may be used with or without a compostable bag according to your needs.

Frequently asked questions

1. How does Mint work?

Simply pump out the air with Mint’s unique vacuum system. By removing the air from the bin, you delay the decomposition of your waste and, as a result, the appearance of odors. More detailed information can be found in the user manual.

2. Can I use Mint with a compostable bag?

A use without compostable bag is recommended. Nevertheless, a ring of fixing envisaged for this purpose is delivered with the dustbin. We recommend a 7 liter compostable bag. For more information, you can consult the user’s manual.

3. Can I order Mint from other countries than Switzerland?

We do not deliver outside Switzerland at the moment. Subscribe to our newsletter to know when we will be in your country. Register here:

4. How do I wash my Mint?

Once you have emptied it of its waste, simply wash it with soap and water (black soap, apple vinegar or washing-up liquid). Mint is not suitable for the dishwasher. Avoid abrasive sponges and corrosive soaps. To make it easier, once in a while, you can also unclip the lid as explained here:

5. Is it possible to buy Mint in shops?

At the moment Mint is only available through our website, but please let us know where you would like to find it at contact page.

6. Does Mint meet the Müllex standard for built-in bins?

Mint does not meet the Müllex standard. That’s why we designed it so beautiful, there’s no need to hide it.

7. Do you plan to develop larger models?

At the moment, Mint is our only model. A new model of the same size will be released soon. To keep up to date with the latest news, subscribe to our newsletter. If you want to share your ideas with us, write to us.
